Codebreakers

Codebreakers are like crosswords but without clues. Each letter of the alphabet is represented by the same number throughout a codebreaker. For example, 2 could be D or 12 could be S. Use the given clues in each one to work out the matching letters and numbers and finish the puzzle. Once you’ve solved one letter, all the other corresponding letters in the grid will be filled in automatically.

You can solve the puzzle in any order. Click or tap on a box in the grid to start entering an answer. You can also use the arrow keys, enter/shift-enter or, tab/shift-tab to move around the grid. Word search

Look for the words that could run vertically, horizontally, diagonally and backwards. Just click on the words you spot to highlight them. To mark words you have found, tap or click the first letter of the word, drag until the last letter and release. Words can run horizontally, vertically or diagonally and may go forward or backward. A useful strategy to find a word is to look for its first letter and then search in all eight possible directions. If you want a hint click on the lightbulb icon second from the left.

Sudoku

Place the numbers 1 to 9 in the empty squares so the same number appears only once in each row, each column and each 3×3 box. A conflict arises if you repeat any entry in the same row, column or sub-grid.

You can work in either pen or pencil mode. Use pen mode when you are sure about the entry in a box. Use pencil mode to track the multiple options that are possible for a box. Pencil mode entries are shown in a smaller size. In pencil mode, pressing a key toggles the entry as an option for the current box. You can toggle between pen and pencil modes by clicking on the options in the menu bar or by pressing the space bar.
